Today Directors Simon and Mike attended the Sheffield School of Architecture Summer Exhibition to see the work of the schools' latest graduates and hand out the MSMR Travel Award.
The annual award invites third year students to submit an illustrated itinerary for travel to experience buildings and places that will further their knowledge and study of architecture. This year's winners, Charlotte and Ryan submitted a joint entry for the £2000 prize. Their trip will take them through three Scandinavian countries beginning in Finland to see several works by master architect, Alvar Aalto.
The pair are particularly interested in seeing housing schemes with an emphasis on sustainable design, an aspect of architecture they hope to bring into practice next year and throughout their careers.
