MSMR has achieved planning permission for the refurbishment of 41-43 Peckham High Street, London. The two buildings are late 19th century forming part of a terrace, with commercial properties at ground level.
Although constructed as a pair, interestingly No. 43 is cited in the Rye Lane Peckham Conservation Area Appraisal, ‘built as the Central Hall of the People’s League (c.1894) and designed by Robert P. Wellock, who was responsible for Nunhead Library and the Livesey Museum.’
The planning consent includes the refurbishment of the existing historic facade, part change of use, a Mansard roof extension and the creation of five residential units (one and two-bedroom properties).
