Planning consent has been obtained for client The Crown Estate to reconfigure and refurbish a listed pub and adjacent building, as part of an on-going £1 billion Regent Street Vision investment programme.
Grade II-listed public house The George, located at the corner of Mortimer Street and Little Portland Street, and a neighbouring building on Little Portland Street are amalgamated to provide residential accommodation at second, third and fourth floors.
The scheme retains and refurbishes the street-level pub to provide storage, pub and restaurant facilities at basement to first floor levels.
Significant improvement works to the buildings’ exteriors will also be carried out.
