MSMR Architects are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for a mixed-use residential-led building in South Tottenham, London. Earlier this week, Haringey planners voted unanimously in favour of the scheme which will transform a light industrial site and provide 45 private and affordable apartments alongside c. 400 sqm of commercial space.
With a brick façade and floor to ceiling windows, the design responds to the local context, stepping down from six to four storeys where it connects with an existing row of terraced houses. Cuts and set backs in the building’s massing allows sunlight to penetrate the building’s volume. A shared landscaped garden, two residential terraces and recessed balconies to all apartments provide amenity space for residents.
