MSMR was appointed by AXA IM Alts for a CAT B fit-out on the eleventh floor of 22 Bishopsgate. The project delivered 100 active workspaces across 11,000 sq ft and is designed in accordance with WELL Principals to achieve GOLD rating in operation.
The arrangement of the fit-out is designed in response to the varying angles of the façade, creating a unique series of spaces which differs from the typical rectilinear office layout. Breakout areas occupy the zones where angles change, and the orientation shifts, with desking areas efficiently occupying the spaces between. Contrasting ceiling finishes are used to demarcate the various areas and accentuate the playful use of angles.
The space has been given a warm and comfortable character through the use of neutral tones, natural materials and an emphasis of greenery. The furniture selection, also by MSMR, introduces subtle colours to breakout spaces, whilst the reception area provides an opportunity for a tenant to apply their own graphic identity.
The layout encourages collaborative working through the generous provision of co-work and lounge space while private calls and remote meetings are also catered for with call booths and discrete niches adjacent to the desk zone. The space is designed to cater for a diverse range of occupiers across numerous sectors and facilitates the various ways in which people work and live.
22 Bishopsgate is managed by AXA IM Alts, on behalf of a consortium of international investors.
