8 Albert Embankment is a mixed-use scheme by developer U+I in partnership with the London Fire Commissioner.
The site, which overlooks the Thames and the Houses of Parliament, has been designed by Pilbrow & Partners and includes a contemporary fire station, a hotel with residential and employment space and new public realm, shops and cafés. The scheme proposals integrate new build and restoration of two listed buildings on the site.
MSMR were appointed to consult on the residential and hotel elements of the scheme. Working in collaboration with Pilbrow & Partners, work focused on optimising the residential layouts, rationalisation of the hotel element and assisting with the design of the scheme for planning.
