Bankside Yards is a 1.4 million sq ft development at the southern end of Blackfriars Bridge, between the Tate Modern and Oxo Tower. The PLP-designed masterplan scheme comprises eight buildings across the current Sampson & Ludgate sites, ranging from seven to 50-storey towers. These will provide over 650 new homes alongside office, cultural, leisure, and retail spaces, all arranged around a new landscaped public realm with new pedestrian links to the River Thames.
MSMR has been appointed by Native Land as interior architect on the tallest of the nine towers, 'The Opus'. This residential building at the center of the cluster comprises 249 apartments and associated residents’ amenity spaces.
The design optimises the floorplans to create generous and light living spaces which maximise the panoramic views across London - the defining aspect of this prominent development.
