This slender four-storey town-house includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, reception room and living space.
MSMR's design played with levels and reduced floor zones to maximize floor to ceiling heights on the public floors. The building’s only façade needed to provide light and privacy to all four habitable rooms as well as a first-floor balcony. The principal rooms were brought to the front of the plan and the stair and ancillary accommodation to the back. Natural light was brought deep into the plan by a top-lit sculptural stair.
Internally a simple palette of high quality materials was used including antique brass ironmongery, porcelain tiles and marble vanity tops. Externally the building’s handmade brick, Portland stone and bronze cladding creates a sophisticated aesthetic to match the building's location.
MSMR provided a full architectural service on the town house between Regent Street and Savile Row.
