MSMR has been appointed as interior architect on the residential component of this mixed-use development in Mayfair.
The new build scheme by AHMM will replace a former NCP car park on Carrington Street and create a new pedestrian route linking it with Yarmouth Place. The development comprises an office building, gym, gallery, a restaurant, commercial units and 30 prime residential apartments with a central private courtyard garden.
Using a strategic space planning approach, MSMR has developed the mix and distribution of the apartments to optimise their size, layout, aspect and location within the building. This includes the adjustment of the core, lift lobby and residential entrance area design.
The spaces within the apartments are organised to provide open plan living with framed layered spaces and long views towards landscaped gardens or private terraces. The finishes are a contemporary interpretation of the high-quality, refined materials historically used by makers and craftspeople in Mayfair.
