TwentyFive W1 is the residential element within a new mixed-use development for Native Land and The Portman Estate. It comprises 25 boutique apartments and residents' facilities including a gym and underground parking. MSMR was responsible for the space planning and interior architecture of the scheme.
The internal layouts are designed to optimise the residential spaces within the pre-determined building geometry. Ceiling heights are maximised within the elevational grid which unifies the residential and adjacent office spaces.
Each apartment provides residents with generous open-plan living space, filled with natural light. Light oak flooring, complimentary coloured joinery and natural marble finishes provide a balanced and warm palette. This material palette and finely crafted fittings create a calmness that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of the busy High Street below.
In the common areas, the terrazzo tiled floors, tinted mirror, bronze and dark oak wall panelling provide a nostalgic reference to the comfort and understated elegance of the Pullman carriages that once departed from nearby Marylebone Station.
