Our proposal looks at the voting system and how it is currently failing to engage young people, and in doing so has the potential to threaten the democracy that forms the basis of our society. The installation is a simple but radical reimagining of the polling station as a mobile installation: prominent, accessible and inspirational to younger voters. Designed so that it may be set up in any location, the booths promote the view that voting is an important and inclusive process and that democracy is something to be celebrated. The project was displayed at Peckham Levels as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2016.
